Hello out there!

Just wanted to say HI to anyone still checking in on me (us). We've been very busy as you might have guessed since I haven't posted since Easter.

We are no longer residents of beautiful Austin. BUT, we are much closer to family and I think we are going to love our new city just as much. If not, we'll be spending all our vacation time in Austin.

Well, I think that's all for now. There's a lot coming up & I am going to try to start posting regularly again so ... stay tuned!

XOXO

A lot of things!

We have been pretty busy for the past month.

We went to OK for Christmas Break.

While we were there our nephew Jacob turned two. We went to his birthday party in the freezing icy weather.

Of course we were shopping up until Christmas Eve. Though, we still managed to get everything we needed.

We had Christmas at Tim's parents and at my Mom's.

We left Peanut visiting family and we headed back home.

Tim & I took a train New Year's Eve to San Antonio. We walked over to the River Walk, ate dinner & listened to the fireworks at midnight. It was too darn cold to wander down to watch them. After we ate, we decided to just hurry back to the train b/c it was sooo cold. Our train ride would continue for another 22 hours until we arrived in Maricopa, AZ. We met up with Tim's parents and sister for the Fiesta Bowl. Unfortunately, the game didn't quite go our way. And to top it off, or maybe the game topped this off ... Tim got to leave the game in an ambulance so he could get 8 stitches to his eyebrow. Apparently, his red mowhawk drew him some unwanted attention and one right cross to the sunglasses. I also got my first ambulance ride as a passenger for this special occasion. Oh, and we were at the hospital past midnight so the date was now Jan 3rd ... my birthday! Luckily, it really could have been worse and it kind of took the edge off that final score. We flew home the next day and that was uneventful.

My Mom closed on her house. Peanut & I helped pick paint colors with her. Then Tim & Jason did lots of heavy lifting. She'll be completely moved in by the end of the month and I'm sure will be busy decorating for a while. I really love her new place. It has lots more room so visiting in the future ought to be more comfortable for everyone.

Well, I think that about wraps up our last month or so ... I'll post some pics of our winter fun.

Busy, Busy, Busy

We have had a very busy past couple of weeks ... hence my blogging hiatus. Since my last post:

Peanut started 2nd Grade on 8/27. They went back to school two weeks later than usual and they will not get out of school until the first week of June! That will be awful. It was nice to have the extra two weeks this year, but who wants to go back to school after Memorial Day weekend? Peanut is loving her teacher & class. Now we are in week three and she still seems to be excited about going each day.

I've been super busy at work. My boss just returned from a two week vacation and while she was gone there were lots of her daily responsibilities that I had to take on. We also had a big event over Labor Day weekend that I had to help get prepared for. So, I haven't had much free-time at work. I know, that's awful right? Don't worry though, things are slowing down just a bit for me now.

We went to visit the in-laws over Labor Day weekend. They had a family reunion at their home on Sunday. Saturday we had family pictures made and then we went to the OU vs. N. TX game. That was fun ... hot & a blow out, but still fun. I can't help to feel bad for teams like N. TX though, when they are just getting stomped out there. But it was fun to see our team lookin good. It was a very busy, but fun weekend.

I signed up for month two (Sept.) of my Boot Camp. It's really been great, except the getting up part. Once I am in the car I am fine, it's just making myself get out of bed at 5:30, that I have a hard time with. I'm trying to work on it, but that's still the hardest part. I love the workouts and love when the dark begins to fade into morning light just as we are finishing up. That is such a good feeling.

Somewhere in between Peanut & I went to Lowe's and built an "Herb Planter". That was fun & she now has a Lowe's apron to rival her Home Depot one. I love this activity & highly recommend checking out both Lowe's & Home Depot for their upcoming kids workshops. Such fun!

I'll post some pics later to wrap up our summer fun. Sorry for such a long post! Hope everyone is having a good week!
